In the contents area you'll see a node called tool bars, with nothing inside (or without the object snap toolbar) The contents of this work space will appear in the top right area, and it's properties in the bottom right. In the left top tree you'll see the work spaces including the new one (My_WS), select it. Make the new created work space your default (my workspace= My_WS), and check "Automatically save workspace changes" Click on the same icon and choose settings. Click on the same icon and make the new workspace current. Click on icon like a gear in the bottom right corner of the screen, and "Save current as" a new work space, and name it "My_WS" for example. You can move the Quick Access Toolbar above and below the ribbon. Let’s review what I wrote and I have attached a video describing how you can create several different QAT’s linking those to alternate workspaces. The Quick Access Toolbar is a customizable toolbar that contains a set of commands that are independent of the tab on the ribbon that is currently displayed. This bar can be customized per workspace and can be very helpful to you while you work in different disciplines. Seems like a long time ago but all of the principals still apply. Let’s discuss the Quick Access Toolbar in AutoCAD or as many refer to it as the QAT.
